"BAUR is Aditya Permana's nom de guerre, heavily armed with analog hardware to produce deviant electronics, an attack against the use of computer. A veteran in Jakarta's scene, he is also known as 1/4 of Dekadenz Records, and previously has produced a more club-leaning, post-punk-influenced electronics under his real name.
Characterized with metallic klang and pulsating beats, with the use of TV & radio news cut-ups, BAUR's primitive sound is a homage to the '80s industrial tape culture. While it's subliminal, the influences of Throbbing Gristle and Cabaret Voltaire are evident.
Private Experiment had the honor to release BAUR's first EP, featuring three tracks of suffocating beats to accompany a paranoid walk among the polluted environment of Jakarta. A celebration of the collapse of the metropolis."
