I remixed the Game Boy version of this song. What I noticed right off the bat was the divide between two styles of music that represents the BattleToads and the Double Dragons seperately. In the first half of the Game Boy version of this song, you can hear a rockin' kind of tune that sounds like it could be played with electric guitars (this was the same tune used in the SNES version) which sounds like a Battletoads theme, but in the second half you hear these descending tones that almost have a Kung-Fu kind of feel to them, which I assume represents the Double Dragons.

Yet another conscious stylistic choice by our good friend David Wise.
