Travis Gardner plays Don Headrick in the Summer 2024 BattleTech Trading Card Game Sealed Tournament. This match uses a best of 3 games format. Card pools include one of each booster plus 10 of each resource. Decks are 45 cards and the sideboard includes all 110 additional cards from the card pool.
GAME RULES
Rules will be as found in the base CE rulebook plus any changes in the Unofficial FAQ 2023 (minus the errata) found here, rules.
The following modifications to official rules will be used:
Munitions: Replace the text: “Munitions (Your missile die rolls do 3 damage on a roll of 3.) with ”Munitions (Once during your Repair/Reload phase, you pay 1R to remove all Depletion counters from one of your Units.)”
Missile dice deal 3 damage on a roll of 3 regardless of whether you have the Munitions asset in play
Missile Y - Each point of a Unit's Missile option may be exchanged for attack on a 1-for-1 basis. You may choose not to roll any number of your missile dice, and instead use them as a temporary +1 attack for the Unit. Make this decision when assigning damage and using abilities during a mission. This 1-for-1 exchange is temporary and lasts only for the duration of the mission.
Players may Repair their Units in the Deploy Phase as well as the Repair/Reload Phase. The Deploy Phase is now the Repair/Deploy Phase.
Alpha Strike: +Y attack: This option represents completely exhausting a Unit’s ammunition supply for one or more weapon systems. You can use a Unit’s Alpha Strike option to increase its attack value by Y, thereby increasing the amount of damage it deals. When you use a Unit’s Alpha Strike option, assign a Depletion counter to it. That Unit may not use its Alpha Strike option again until the Depletion counter is removed. Depletion counters can be removed either by card effects or during the Reload phase.
During your Repair/Reload phase, you may remove all Depletion counters from an untapped Unit by tapping it.
