The Rex Mortis class of fast battleships is one of the oldest class of battleships in the Legion and was originally slated for retirement, being quite outdated by the start of the Atrimax War. However, due to the logistical stresses caused by the conflict, it was decided to recommission the vessels and upgrade them to modern standards.
