STAR WARS Battlefront 2 Remaster Mod (Space) Installation PC:
Install the Zero Patch 2.3. This is required if you want mods to work
Make backup of original files
Don’t use the installer — it’s meant for the original release of Battlefront, not the CC Edition.
1 Extract the files from [Remaster Installer Part 3 Space].
The contents of these installers can be extracted using WinRAR or 7-Zip. Alternatively, you can install them to an empty folder.
2 Move the 356 folder to your addon2 directory:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Battle\addon2
3 Move the spa folder to your data2\_lvl_common directory:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Battle\data2\_lvl_common
Improved sides and skinchanger installation
Extract Remaster Installer Part 2:
1. Open the side folder.
2. Copy and paste the all.lvl file, then rename the copy and original to:
all1.lvl
all2.lvl
3. Back up your original files.
4. Place the modified side folder and fpm folder into your _lvl_common folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Battle\data2\_lvl_common
5. Copy the user_script files 9 , 7 , and custom_gc into the in-game-options folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Battle\addon2\0\in-game-options
6. Move run_after_making_changes_windows.bat from the 0 folder into the addon2
folder, then run it.
That’s it — Skinchanger works really well on Battlefront 2 Classic Collection.
To replace the stock maps with the remastered versions:
1 First, back up the original maps found in:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Battle\data2\_lvl_common
2 Extract BF2 Remaster Installer Part 1.
3 Navigate to:
BF2 Remaster Installer Part 1 - Maps and Menu May Update\data\_lvl_pc
4 Copy the 3-letter map folders (such as hot, myg, etc.) into:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Battle\data2\_lvl_common
5 Replace the existing folders when prompted.
Important: Do not replace the cor folder, as the Coruscant map currently crashes the game.
Recommended video settings: set Lighting to Medium or Low for better stability.
