Battlefields of Love - lyrics by Michael Piehl
Been paying dues, fighting off the blues, feeling down dirty depressed and much abused
Wasting time listening to my mind trying to make some sense of what's left behind
We used to touch used to mean so much without you I'm crippled without a crutch
You don't want me want to be free in the fields of love are we meant to be
Chorus
Wounded soldier straight from the front lines of war
Unarmed and disabled never like this before
We are all soldiers ready for what's in store everyone gets injured in the battlefield of the love war
I saunter along wailing out my song, trying to figure out where it is I belong
Haven't got a clue, can't think this through, I'm vacant and blue what am I to do?
The countless weeks, I'm weak in my knees on them I ask God why is it always me?
Time ticks so slow, with no where to go, take a look at my life it's one hell of a show.
Chorus
Wounded soldier straight from the front lines of war
Unarmed and disabled never like this before
We are all soldiers ready for what's in store everyone gets injured in the battlefield of the love war
SOLO
Lost in this trance never was a chance out in these fields to contend romance
I can't believe this tragedy and your letting me lie here to die and bleed
I'm fading fast not gonna last fighting for the days that live in the past
you don't want me, want to be free, in the fields of love were we meant to be
Chorus
Wounded soldier straight from the front lines of war
Unarmed and disabled never like this before
Part C
don't recycle him over and over and over take away this prisoner because he can't take much more
We are all soldiers ready for what's in store everyone gets injured in the battlefield of the love war.

Chicago: The Musical Original 1975 Broadway Commercial. No stars, just dancers in this commercial.
Chicago is a musical set in Prohibition-era Chicago. The music is by John Kander with lyrics by Fred Ebb and a book by Ebb and Bob Fosse. The story is a satire on corruption in the administration of criminal justice and the concept of the celebrity criminal. The musical is based on a 1926 play of the same name by reporter Maurine Dallas Watkins about actual criminals and crimes she reported on.
The original Broadway production opened June 3, 1975, at the 46th Street Theatre[1] and ran for 936 performances. Bob Fosse choreographed the original production, and his style is strongly identified with the show. Chicago: A Musical Vaudeville opened on June 3, 1975 at the 46th Street Theatre, and ran for a total of 936 performances, closing on August 27, 1977.[10] The opening night cast starred Chita Rivera as Velma Kelly, Gwen Verdon as Roxie Hart, Jerry Orbach as Billy Flynn and Barney Martin as Amos Hart. Velma Kelly had been a comparatively minor character in all versions of Chicago prior to the musical rendering. The role was fleshed out to balance Chita Riveras role opposite Gwen Verdons Roxie Hart. Chicago Original 1975 Broadway Musical Commercial](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/C5_Vw0-Bqpc/mqdefault.jpg)
