I just stumbled upon this glitch in level 2 after bringing out my knife. The knife animation would only occur after switching to an item or another weapon, but then this would happen again. The effects are there but the animation is missing for whatever reason.
Turn up the volume on your computer to hear the audio better. This was recorded from my 3DS.
