Here below you can read my opinion on the weapon and it's performance with the attachements.
To begin with, I don't talk in my weapon montages because it WILL screw the video, I don't naturally speak English so deal with it!
Gun info:
The G3A3 has, by far, the biggest damage output by bullets in it's class. Eventually the firing rate isn't good, probably the worst. It comes with a small 21 rounds magazine but that doesn't change anything much since the rate of fire and the damage output does the job for it. The accuracy is great, but not in all aspects: the initial accuracy is realy good, bullets drop averangely but you must understand that it travels slower than most of the snipers. Unless you add a heavy barrel, then it can compete with the snipers. The recoil is high, so it gets innacurate a bit faster than most rifles and the recoil itself can be hard to manage compared to the other rifles. The hip accuracy is also not the best of it's class.
Attachements and my suggestions:
I recommend that you use the G3 as a long range rifle. If you hate short-bursting all the time then a holographic, foregrip and heavy barrel or laser sight would be interesting due to it's high damage potential, but you'll lose some good features. If you hate it's high recoil, then simply add a suppressor, which decrease the bullet velocity so the range potential is decreased, or a flash suppresor, which doesn't change the bullet velocity and reduces a bit the recoil. I wouldn't tell you to add a foregrip since it decreases a bit the accuracy, but if you hate the horizontal recoil that much then I won't argue, then add a small scope such as a 3.4x or a 4x, related on how much recoil you can handle (lower zoom is easier to handle). For those who want to use it as a long range rifle, then put a 6x or 7x scope and a bipod for maximum range and accuracy. You can maximise the range by putting a heavy barrel with it, but I think the laser sight comes right in the good place. It assures you that, even with the high powered scope, you can kill people with the hip fire, which is, as you can see in the video, damn good enough! Originally, the montage was supposed to also feature a M26 MASS, but I found it annoying to switch everytime in close quarters and it takes off the benefits of the bipod because of the underslug rail, so I decided to keep the bipod and use the laser sight instead.
Compared to every other guns, I find the G3 to be extremly good, yet my 2nd favorite gun because of its excellent all around usefullness. The only big problem is that it's not that easy to snipe people with it since it requires much more bullets than any semi-automatic snipers to kill someone. You can do fine if you're a happy trigger, but you'll require a bit of training in order to manage the constant recoil and the slower bullet speed.
