The sheer amount of people asking for my opinion on Battlefield 2042 is ridiculous. I'm gonna keep it short because I gave my thoughts on two podcasts already. Do I like Battlefield 2042? Unfortunately no, it plays nothing like a traditional Battlefield game and is almost in every aspect a downgrade to previous titles. Will I play it anyways? Yes but I'm not sure for how long. So far I only enjoy movement and running around with a C-clamp grip on my AK-24. Even if it launches smoothly (Spoiler: it won't), there are too many fundamental design errors (specialists, vehicles, HUD/UI, map size, etc.) ruining the overall gameplay experience. Hopefully Portal can deliver.
