Another day, another mod for Battlefield 2, this time we are checking a BF4 style mod.. in a pretty much oversaturated library of BF4 style mods..
In fact, we've seen this BF4 setting before, many times
AEK-971, USRU, ULTIMATE MOD, BATTLE333, FIREBIRD, DAMOCLES, HEAT OF BATTLE, BURNING SANDS and now BATTLE OF HONOR...They all share that same BF4 setting and atmosphere and it shows the lack of variation in an otherwise amazing BF2 mod library.
(when are we going to see a WW1 mod for BF2?)
While this mod offers a good enough gameplay loop, it quickly grows stale and repetitive, because of the BF4 modern combat mechanics and assets already seen in other mods that seem to copy eachother's work.
There's no much to say about this one, what you see is what you get, the only negative i've found is that some maps crashed to desktop while loading (typical engine limitation)
If you love playing Battlefield 4 then you might get some fun out of this one, but there are much better BF4 style mods that you can play now rather than Battle of honor, like AEK-971 mod or HEAT OF BATTLE instead.
