Pure battle is another new type of documentary, where we've recreated the battle purely using a total war game, no commentary, just purely the battle as it played out, or as close as we could to recreate it.
The battle of Actium was fought in 31 BC between Mark Antony and Gaius Octavius Thurinus for control over Rome, the two sides had been waging propaganda campaigns against one another for the last few years until Mark Antony was exposed as being Un-Roman essentially and by marriage and having children with a non-Roman Cleopatra queen of Egypt.
The battle took place near Actium in the Gulf of the Ionian Sea and was mostly a navy battle as the land army had no decisive Clash.
