Note: You have a 100% chance to obtain Killer Cat after Level 7, Killer Tank after Level 9, and Killer Gross after Level 10. This is Level 15 in the gauntlet, so if you have no interest in a couple silver tickets, 2 Leaderships, and a Legend Eye, you can stop after the significantly easier Level 10.

This stage has a unique set of enemies fought in a gauntlet. Killer Cat, Killer Tank, and Killer Gross are all Black variants of the respective basic cats while Killer Axe is an enemy base variant of Axe Cat.

This year, there are 2 notable differences: Killer Gross has been introduced as a backliner for the stage and Killer Axe has gotten a significant damage buff in exchange for gaining blindspots in the attack. This makes fighting closer to the enemy base somewhat less risky overall since there is a chance your frontline will be in Killer Axe's blindspot. Killer Gross isn't all too pressuring offensively, but it does make pushing the stage back a bit harder and they can be really difficult to push into when stacked up.

Anyways, you can just rush this stage with Bahamut. Foundation is the only reason my Manic Erasers are surviving hits, but you can just as easily bring another meatshield to make up the difference. The base also has no Explosion immunity so that's free real estate.

As for the units you get from the gauntlet, Killer Cat and Tank are carbon copies of the first form variant of the basic cat, except their cost has been increased to 7,500. It is pointless to deploy either of them, though Killer Cat is a component of the Bad Guys combo, a 3 slot Research L combo with Lasvoss and Li'l Nyandam that is strictly superior to Biobone. Killer Gross has the same situation, except for it having 700 range instead of the usual 350. This is more for novelty than anything actually useful.

Killer Cat also has a True Form, which you can unlock by evolving using 3 of every basic Behemoth Stone. In its True Form, Killer Cat becomes Radical Cat, drastically changing its stats from that of an expendable meatshield into a specialist bruiser meatshield. Most importantly, its cost is reduced from 7,500 to only 900.

Radical Cat (Level 30):
HP - 39,100
KBs - 3
Range - 140
Speed - 10
Damage - 2,380 (Single)
DPS - 1,929
Cost - 900
Cooldown - 6.00 sec

Abilities:
- Strong vs Floating
- Behemoth Slayer (5% Dodge)
- Surge Immune

Radical Cat was among the first ever Behemoth Slayer units ever released in the game, intended to be a counter to the terrifying Pterowl Hazuku. With Strong, Radical's effective HP is increased to 97,750 vs Floating and with Behemoth Slayer, it becomes a staggering 162,917 HP. All this at level 30! Even against non-target Behemoths, Radical has 65,167 effective HP. At level 50, base HP is increased to 62,100 and effective HP is increased to 155,250, 258,750, and 103,500 respectively. Sounds good, right?

Yes, it is good, but there are some problems keeping Radical from realizing its true potential. The first is quite obvious: Octo exists already. Octo only costs 720 and while its cooldown is a little longer and it doesn't have Behemoth Slayer, Octo has 136,000 effective HP vs Floating as opposed to 97,750, only 1 KB, can inflict Weaken, and has Wave Blocker, granting it its own gamebreaking mechanic.

Ok, but what about Hazuku specifically? While this matchup is definitely Radical's biggest selling point, Radical himself is a slow, close melee range meatshield at the end of the day. Hazuku is typically either totally exposed to rushers or a timed lose condition. The situations where Radical gets more value than a rusher like Fishman are rare. Against Behemoth generally, Radical's KB count holds it back, getting knocked back instantly by enemies like 200% Wild Doge even at level 50. Plus, Soap and Egg Pod handle Behemoth tanking much better. Radical's one advantage is doing a lot of damage to Hazuku once it gets close.

Unfortunately, Radical's promising stats are diminished by fierce competition and unfortunate stage design circumstances. I would recommend saving your Behemoth Stones unless you have Lasvoss. And spoiler alert, things are going to get MUCH WORSE for Radical very soon...
