Here's a little mini review for those that care (0% I'm sure). I was considering doing a video review or something, but I don't think anyone would want to hear my dumb rambling on audio, so here's some dumb rambling on text:
Battle Armor Division is an okay game I suppose. It's slow paced, which would be fine if the combat was a little more varied, especially against enemy Battle Armors. If you're looking for some mecha platformer action on the PC, I'd go for Gunhound or Gigantic Army instead...
The game "features" some things that bug me a little. For one, I can't change my controller settings and I can't get keyboard controls to work, cutting out the option of using Xpadder or Joy2Key to get around that. The rank system may as well not exist 'cause S ranks are pretty easy to get as long as you don't get hit too much and waste too much time...except for the neat little feature where the total time isn't reset between missions (it caps out at 1000 seconds). This forces you to either end the stage with a good chunk of health to offset the 1000 point penalty (in which case an S rank would then be something to accomplish, heh) or to quit the game every time you play a stage.
And another thing that irritates me is taking damage from explosions when an enemy dies. I guess it's an okay mechanic to avoid damaging debris, but when you put a melee weapon in the game that will guarantee receiving damage upon destroying an enemy, I think something was overlooked.
At any rate, if you play the game on Normal difficulty, you slowly regenerate to 50 health. On Hard, you get no regen except for the repair bay thingies. I don't know if there's any other differences; it doesn't look like damage done or AI is increased on Hard.
