Selection of leisure batteries can be bewildering at the best of times but when they are being relied on for camping off-grid then it can be more important than ever to make the right choice.
There is a lot of information online much of it confusing and some of it conflicting. So I have tried to pull it all together along with plenty of animated graphs to help explain the pros and cons of different types of batteries.
I cover the main types of batteries used for leisure purposes which are Wet, AGM and GEL lead acid and of course Lithium. I explain things like voltage drops and true power output and explain the factors you should consider when trying to determine the best value option for you such as the stated number of cycles and Depth of Discharge.
