Daytime Bat Encounter at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary | Brisbane, Australia

Justin Vacula of the Hurdy Gurdy Travel Podcast visits a bat enclosure at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, on March 2, 2026.

In this video, he films several flying foxes at the Bat Conservation and Rescue of Queensland area, including gray-headed flying foxes, little red flying foxes, black flying foxes, and spectacled flying foxes.

Most of the bats hang quietly from the upper part of the enclosure during the day, but close-up footage captures wings stretching, orange-tinted webbing, gray fur, and occasional views of their faces, ears, noses, and mouths.
