I know what you're all thinking, legos?? Batman and Joker?? Man, if yall went and watched the Lego Batman movie you'd understand why I'm absolutely over the moon about these too. I went into this movie expecting Batman to get with Barbara or something but, I DIDN'T EXPECT TO COME OUT SHIPPING BATMAN AND JOKER.
Joker's entire motivation was to get Batman to acknowledge their relationship and get him to say he was his greatest enemy. The best part, both had potential female love interests but both ended up being just friends to the other (Harley and Barbara). Anything romantic or flirtatious seemed to go on between these two tbh. What they'd say to each other too, god, especially the end was... *clenches fist* so gay.
This is honestly a very funny, beautifully animated, great movie that actually made me LOVE a Joker character. I've never liked or cared for Joker in the past but Lego's characterization of him is so likeable.
Robin and Batman's father-son relationship was also a big part of the movie that yanked at my heartstrings. Alfred and Batman had a father-son relationship too and that made me even more emotional.
Just go see this movie if you love humor and good gay content. I definitely need to see it again.
