Texas Backyard Wildlife | Bath time for an armadillo on a hot Texas day | Texas Backyard Wildlife @TexasBackyardWildlife | Uploaded March 2024 | Updated October 2024, 2 hours ago.
This 9-banded armadillo on a very hot Texas day took at bath in one of our water bowls. We rarely see armadillos out during the day, but the Texas heat was apparently too much for this little one to tolerate and she came out looking for water and relief.

We wish we'd been able to put some ice in the bowl for her; it was late afternoon and well over 100F (about 40C).
