Organizing markers in your Premiere Pro timeline has never been easier! With Automation Blocks, you can now batch-change the colors of all your sequence and clip markers effortlessly. Whether you want to emphasize main beats, or simply cycle through marker colors for clarity, this tutorial will equip you with the tools you need to elevate your marker management game.

Let's say you have some markers in Premiere Pro, but you are not happy with their colors. In this case, I have created those markers with
BeatEdit
our amazing extension, which creates markers for the beats of your music fully automatically
But of course, this works with any other markers, too. BeatEdit loops through 8 different colors, and let's say, you just want to have 2 different colours, such that in the pattern

Only the 1 is read and 2, 3, and 4 are green.
For this, you can choose the "Highlight every 4th Marker" tool of Automation Blocks for Premiere Pro.
We want to color markers of the active sequence but as you can see, you can also use the tool for clip markers instead. We want the main beat to be red, and all others to be green.
Now for this special song, you see that the music actually just starts at the third marker. Therefore, we set the offset to 2, which makes sure that the first two markers become green and the third marker will become the first with red color.
Now we can place our cuts at the main beats, for example, very easily.
If you feel later that you want to go back to looping through 8 colors, you just choose the "Cycle Marker Colors" tool an run it. Also this tool comes with options to control how exactly you want to loop over Premiere Pro's 8 available marker colors.
Again, the by far best tool to create beat markers in Premiere Pro is our extension BeatEdit. But if you want to this without yet another extension, of course, you could also set those beat markers manually....
