In today's crochet tutorial we're going to learn how to crochet the Basic Shell Stitch Washcloth pattern. This washcloth is the second in the Beginner Washcloth Series that I've put together.
Find the right handed tutorial here:
The purpose of this series is to help you practice the basic, beginner stitches while coming away with something valuable. While I think you should take some time to practice before starting a more complicated crochet project, I also think your practicing should do the following:
- learn to master a stitch
- teach you something new
- learn a few tricks you wouldn't have otherwise known
- make something useful
And that's exactly what you'll learn in this series for beginners.
By learning how to crochet the Basic Shell Stitch Washcloth, you will be practicing the:
- Single Crochet (US) | Double Crochet (UK)
- Double Crochet (US) | Treble Crochet (UK)
- How to crochet the Shell Stitch
- How to better read crochet patterns
