A simple pull wasn’t enough.
In today’s tutorial, I show how to build a rope system with mechanical advantage to move heavy objects that would otherwise be impossible to pull by hand. This setup is based on a Trucker’s Hitch, enhanced with carabiners to reduce friction and increase efficiency.
For the anchor sling (closed loop rope), I use a Double Fisherman’s Knot. To secure the tree, I tie a Poacher’s Knot sliding loop, which tightens under load and remains easy to adjust.
This is a practical, field-tested rope system for tree plantation work, bushcraft, and any situation where smart rigging matters more than raw strength.
