I've had this on my list of things to do for a long time and I finally checked it off. I was able to also include my two older kids with me. It's important to me for my kids to know how to handle a firearm safely. When Emily and Christine are able to, I would like them to also take the course.
It's a 6 hour session which includes class time and range time. This was the first time RJ ever shot a gun.
We learned about pistols and more importantly, the responsibility that comes with being a gun owner. It was exhilarating to be able to try out different pistols with my kids.
I've gotten many messages from other women who were interested in trying but were afraid. I suggest signing up for the womens familiarization course first to give it a start. If after that you wanna move forward, then sign up for the basic Handgun safety class.
We all enjoyed it. Sterling (instructor) was great. I definitely recommend it.
