Welcome back! This is the Sixth part of the tutorial series where I go through my entire workflow from start to finish
If you missed any of the the previous parts, I have them in a handy playlist Right here: youtube.com/playlist?list=PLe0O-ypJqvKw6meu68TlU0_motrjcnrva
In this video, we're going to take it a little bit easier and rig our base mesh. If you're looking for an in-depth tutorial on rigging for animation, I'd suggest Dikko's Rigging series: youtube.com/playlist?list=PLL3OEv6vd5VA8_FBkeitaeqC0kbcrhMTC
The rigging we're looking to do will be quick and dirty. No weight painting, just placing bones so we can get our character sculpt into a pose. It'll also make creating the clothing a bit easier.
You can find this completed, retopologised, and rigged base mesh for free at: nasakii.gumroad.com/l/Basemesh23
Ahead in the coming weeks we'll cover:
-Setting up references & Blocking out the character - youtu.be/J2_uiUEcY7w
-Merging the Blockout & Sculpting - youtu.be/TZgUAWpiIw8
-Sculpting the head - youtu.be/o5W6J5TbYp4
