Bartók plays his Allegro barbaro: rare colour film of the composer, recorded in New York, 26 September 1942 (from the archives of Tibor Serly), audio recorded by Bartók in Budapest on 5 November 1929.

The video continues with other more films of Bartók, with an extract from the slow movement of his Piano Concerto no.3 as audio backdrop.
