She walked in, parched and worn from the heat of the day, not looking like someone with much to give. But the bartender didn’t size her up based on her appearance or what she could offer in return. She simply gave—a tall glass of water, no questions asked. That small act of kindness may not have made the evening news, but it reminded me of how powerful it is when someone believes you're worth something… even when you feel empty. Isn’t that how God operates with us? Pouring into us before we’ve earned it, before we’ve “arrived,” before we’ve done anything impressive?
