As of April 2025, BART's newest revenue cars are the 4600s, part of an order for over 300 cars for the Core Capacity program - 30 trains per hour in Transbay Tube using CBTC. The orders will stretch the E car fleet into the 4800s, but here is the first I’ve seen in service of the 4600s, the 4604 on April 7, 2025 (Yellow Line). Here are some clips of the ‘604 on a Pittsburg/Bay Point train today, complete with the new car smell and a few minor changes as compared from the 4500s, in turn, slightly different from the older 4000s.
