Bart&Baker are two DJ from Paris considered as the pioneer of the ElectroSwing genre in Europe. Writer, composer and producer of their own tunes, they also elaborate the electro swing serie of compilations for Wagram Music.
Their first Best Of collection is out on September 22nd as the bonus CD to Electro Swing 7. (iTunes link) Supermarket is one of the 5 unreleased tracks included in the Best Of CD. It is a shamelessly electro Charleston dance bomb.
This new track is once again a Bart&Baker comedy song, to have a laugh at one of the phenomenons of the modern world: Cruising in a extravert way, either picking up men at the 7/11, or on smartphones at night. We decided on a duet after the two performers met at our place for tea, not knowing each other, and became instant friends. For the video, we decided to go for a cartoon - to highlight the song's humour. The song is performed by two rising stars of the Jazz Vocal market. Dimie Cat is one of the most respected neo swing and electro swing chanteuse. She is currently on a roll in Japan and tours also in most of Europe and the middle east with her self penned tracks.
Hailey Tuck comes from Texas and was signed recently by the super styled Jazz Management company AIR MANAGEMENT and develops a carreer in London.
There are 3 remixes to go with the post produced radion edit of the Russian house producer Aleksey Kraft. DJ Mibor one of the most talented Swing House producer in the electroswing market delivers two different remixes. A tropikal version for the ladies and a dub version for the boys. Extra Medium aka Mark Camps, a young producer from UK completes the set with a great housey version melting graciously acoustic and dancey sides of the track.
A cartoon has been produced in order to illustrate the song. It has been designed by the French animation artist Thomas Saint-Yrieix.
