Barry dreamed of riding Japan's famous Shimanami Kaido with his lifelong friend.

Twice he planned to go.

Although Barry traveled to Japan hoping to ride, complications from his illness prevented him from getting on the bicycle. He still believed there would be another chance.

Sadly, that day never came.

After Barry passed away, his wife Yuko made a decision.

She would ride the Shimanami Kaido for Barry.
