Input: blue barrel cam of helical slots of two opposite hands (screw of two opposite hand threads).
Output: yellow follower performing linear reciprocating motion.
The pink device connects the cam and the follower. It consists of a swivel arm carrying two small green pegs and a larger red peg.
Such structure ensures a desired reciprocating motion of the follower. Related video:
