It is great to hear the thoughts of Baroness Gustafsson, Minister of State for Investment at the Department for Business and Trade (@biztradegovuk), on fusion energy following on from the Ministers visit to Culham Campus for a tour of our facilities.
The Minister met with UKAEA's CEO Professor Sir Ian Chapman, and Deputy CEO Tim Bestwick, to receive an overview of UKAEA and fusion energy, before taking in tours of JET with Fernanda Rimini (Head of Operations, Control and Tokamak Systems) and RACE with Nick Sykes (Director of RACE).
In addition to the tours there were presentations on the STEP programme, and Advanced Computing and AI in Fusion. The Minister also met with @Oxa_UA for a demonstration of their technology.
