Barcelona is a place where the wealthy park their yachts. I grew up in Florida and have seen a ton of yachts. I once worked close to the New River where the yachts come in and park. I have also been to the Bahamas and seen quite a few large yachts. I believe this is the first time I stood beside a super yacht. Really cool, but it made me think "why". A regular yacht is just fine. The best answer is "because they can afford it".
