Baptists who appeal to the unanimous witness of the Church Fathers can only do so selectively. It's entirely arbitrary to make an argument drawing upon a portion of their teaching on anthropology/soteriology with regard to free will and to simultaneously discard the rest of their soteriology teaching with regard to baptism, the eucharist, and the possibility of losing your salvation. ESPECIALLY when there is a more explicit and widespread consensus among the Fathers about the latter than the former. ▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃
