Bangkok Plans Stronger Protection for Heritage Trees

Bangkok is moving toward new rules that would give special protection to old, historically significant and environmentally important trees across the capital. The city plans to establish a comprehensive tree inventory before creating an official Heritage Tree List with restrictions on cutting, transplanting and pruning.
