A very simple vegan recipe that uses fairly ordinary ingredients. Ideal for beginners.

It's basically bananas, oats, dates, peanut butter and some sort of sweetener all mashed together and baked in the oven for a few minutes.

For the sweetener, I used Truvia baking blend which is mixture of Stevia (a calorie free natural sweetener) and ordinary sugar. It has double the sweetness of sugar, so if you're using normal sugar you'll need about twice as much.
If you're a traditionalist you might want to use golden syrup or if you're Canadian, maple syrup.

The peanut butter I use is also the really good stuff (Meridian). No palm oil, no added sugar or salt, just peanut butter made from peanuts and nothing else. You can use a bog standard peanut butter if you like, but this stuff is better.

The amounts I use here are roughly:
2 cups of oats
2 tablespoons of peanut butter
1 tablespoon of Truvia baking blend
A small handful of chopped dates
... and precisely 2 bananas.
Add a little water if your mixture is a bit dry.
