Oh snap! World 7 takes place in a volcano! Looks like it couldn't stand being only the second world in SMB2 so it's been a late-game theme ever since. Or it just decided to do that JUST this once since its real job is holding Expert 31-39. In any case, there's bright, dripping magma as far as the eye can see while you conquer these Expert-level challenges.
This is a remix of the oddly-named Palarvar Lava, the fifth world of Touch & Roll. Not quite as high, but still beats out Story Mode's Volcanic Magma. As you can see by the name, it also takes place inside a volcano... with a swirling vortex of lava-powered death below.
