In this Bambu Studio beginner tutorial, we are moving into the Strength tab and talking about how to make stronger 3D prints without just cranking up infill.
We’ll cover walls, wall loops, alternate extra wall, detect thin walls, top and bottom shell layers, infill density, infill patterns, and how walls, infill, material, and print orientation all work together.
The big idea is this: strength is not one magic setting. More infill can help, but extra walls are often the first place to look when you need a stronger functional print. Top and bottom layers also matter, and the right infill pattern depends on what the print needs to do.
This video is meant to help beginners understand the main strength settings in Bambu Studio so they can make smarter choices, save filament, reduce print time, and stop guessing.
Infill Pattern Quick Reference:
Everyday Fast Infill:
Rectilinear, Grid, Line
Functional / All-Around Strength:
Gyroid, Cubic, Adaptive Cubic
Stiff / Rigid Structure:
Triangles, Tri-hexagon, Honeycomb, 3D Honeycomb
Material Saving / Decorative Support:
Lightning, Support Cubic, Adaptive Cubic
Specialty / Flexible:
Cross Hatch, Concentric, Zig Zag
Decorative / Visible Infill:
Concentric, Hilbert Curve, Archimedean Chords, Octagram Spiral
Personally, I avoid Cross Zag because I have had it cause messy prints and infill issues.
