Ever since 2021, I have been trying to get my hands on Slovene Bali. For a long time, it was my most sought-after dub. However, the DVD releases of the show hardly ever popped up for sale. I ended up setting a "saved search" so I'd get a notification if any new listings appeared. Aside from a listing around Christmastime that year, nothing ever came up.
This last August, I got a notification that one of the DVDs had come up for sale - coincidentally, the very same volume that made me aware of the dub's existence and the one named after the episode supersponge managed to find an old TV recording of in July 2024. I tried to purchase it, but I had no luck.
Back in February, I got another email about another listing of one of the DVDs. I decided I just had to try and make it happen. I put out a post on Reddit, and got into contact with an amazing Slovenian proxy shipper who agreed to buy the DVD for me! To my surprise, the listing from August was still up, and I got that one too. One of the sellers packaged their DVD without looking at it too carefully, and my proxy received an empty case! Luckily, the seller managed to locate the actual disc, and in the process, found a third Bali DVD which I ended up buying as well.
Finally, all three DVDs arrived in the mail today. It's super satisfying to finally have 25 new episodes of the dub, plus the one that was already found in better quality. :D
