Blake Lively just scored a major legal win—and exposed what she calls a coordinated online smear campaign led by Justin Baldoni.
According to her lawsuit, Baldoni tried to destroy her reputation using a so-called “digital army” to flood social media with false narratives.
In response, Baldoni filed a massive countersuit, claiming Lively “stole the film” by refusing to promote It Ends With Us and fabricated sexual harassment claims.
But Judge Lewis Liman wasn’t buying it.
In a scathing decision, the judge ruled Baldoni’s accusations didn’t meet the legal bar for extortion or defamation—calling it nothing more than “hard bargaining.”
Since Lively’s allegations were made in a formal lawsuit, they’re protected by law.
Translation? Baldoni’s $400M case was doomed from the start.
After the ruling, Lively broke her silence on Instagram, saying she had “the resources to fight back” against what she described as a retaliatory lawsuit—and vowed to keep standing up for women who speak out.
