The 13th Hussars (previously the 13th Light Dragoons) was a cavalry regiment of the British Army established in 1715. It saw service for three centuries including the 1745 Jacobite Rebellion, the Napoleonic Wars, the Crimean War, the Second Boer War and the First World War. The regiment was amalgamated with the 18th Royal Hussars, to form the 13th/18th Royal Hussars in 1922.
