In hard mode, you can find "Top Secrets" in the Shinra Combat Simulator near the beginning of Chapter 2. The first round is against Bahamut, and like in the main game, he will summon Ifrit when in half health. It is better to keep distance and use Yuffie's ranged attacks while Sonon has synergy materia equipped. A leveled up elemental materia paired with fire lets Yuffie take no damage from Ifrit, allowing you to ignore him and concentrate on Bahamut, as Ifrit tends to focus on the player-controlled character.
