“The importance of our participation in the 17th week of agriculture in Baghdad, comes from our belief that supporting the farmers is part of our duty jointly with the governmental organizations. That’s why we are here, to bring our experience more than 75 years in agriculture to the Iraqi farmers, to solve major problems caused by the climate change, and to be next to the farmers.”

“Regarding the displayed products inside the exhibition; I saw the high-quality products from various Arab and foreign countries. We saw (products) from Yemen, the (United Arab) Emirates, Turkey, China, and Iran. This shows that Iraq has opened its doors for agricultural trade with different countries.”

STORYLINE:
Local and international companies flocked to Iraq's agricultural week, presenting products and sharing insights at a busy exhibition.
The event in its 17th edition saw participation from neighboring countries such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia and global powerhouse China.
The space was filled with large tractors, sprinklers, fertilizers and all kinds of agriculture equipment.
This year's theme was sustainable farming, and different stands promoted organic vegetables, fresh fruit and dates.
Baker Khalid, a technical commercial engineer in Lebanon, said he participated in the exhibition in an effort to support the Iraqi agriculture sector as it faces various challenges, including climate change.
"That’s why we are here, to bring our experience more than 75 years in agriculture to the Iraqi farmers," he added.
The exhibition ended on Wednesday.
