It is better to not have "space" as handbrake, because it is also the key used to skip cutscenes, which can make you lose some speed after skipping the trip.
There were many mistakes, like using the replay too soon (and twice) when getting wasted, taking too long to kill the target and getting down from the roof at the end.
In this other video I show the setup used to get OM0 and weapon menu at this point in the game, where you have to rely on GF or debt calls:
