#BADA - so much more than just an aircraft performance model ✈️! Great to see so many global aviation experts at this year's BADA conference to discuss aircraft trajectory prediction & simulation.
The 2024 Base of Aircraft Data (BADA) User Group & Conference 📌 was hosted by #EIH the EUROCONTROL Innovation Hub, bringing together participants from #ANSPs, #airports, R&D organisations, the ATM support industry, manufacturers & universities.
The event focused on:
📌 understanding BADA's theoretical model better to drive more efficient usage
📌 information-sharing with fellow BADA users across different domains
📌 the legal framework regarding BADA's development and distribution to the user community
📌 #drones, with the aim of developing a new BADA model family.
Participants also exchanged on BADA model theory & recent developments, ATM R&D applications, ATC operational uses & environmental assessments.
👉 BADA is a comprehensive aircraft performance model developed and maintained by #EIH and has over the years established itself as the global standard in aircraft performance modelling.
It includes models for nearly all aircraft in operation today and is integral for predicting aircraft trajectories and simulating them within ATM R&D and operational ATC systems.
