I've previously posted a walking vehicle, which actually moves it legs for locomotion. This mechanical horse is different because looks like it moves by walking, but it's just an illusion. The legs move in response to the tension built up in the vehicle as it tries to slide across the ground. The propeller charges the tension in the vehicle and helps the horse get up some surprisingly steep climbs. The leading umbrella is used as a brake when going downhill. Without it, the tension in the vehicle may cause it to break as the vehicle is accelerated down the hill. The umbrella can also be used to help pull the horse uphill.
