Some more awesome game design! 100% RELIABLE REDSTONE, and suffocation! Love it!

Okay, all sarcasm aside, the suffocation can be prevented for the most part. But Redstone is supposed to be intuitive for new players to learn. If a new player is unaware of the intriguing behaviors of random update order, they would probably wonder why their redstone does something different each time they hit a button or flip a switch. In my opinion, redstone should be consistent. Randomness does not belong in a logic based system like redstone...
