I had no idea that the Mario Party 1 bad ending was real until I saw a comment on my longform video about Mario Party 1 obscure facts. It took me some onerous playthroughs, manually changing my controller to the COM characters when they approached Toad, and saying "NO" to all the Stars, but lo and behold, the "bad ending" is actually real.
