The short film, "Bad Boyfriend," is a perfect example of what a few free hours, a video camera, and half a dozen or so people who are willing to humiliate themselves can produce. If my calculations are correct, this was shot in early 1989.
The short skit is really nothing more than one of many, many badly choreographed fight videos we would film over the years. Most of the videos of this nature were just an excuse to act out a fight sequence, so as usual it's short on dialogue and rife with meat-thumping sound effects.
Tracey Murray gets to show off her acting chops as the unfortunate girl in distress, who struggles against the oppressive demands of her abusive boyfriend (played by Jonathan Lee). Is there a hero brave enough to come to her rescue?
