This version of Madonna's Material Girl was made for the Bacterial World exhibition at Oxford University Museum of Natural History (oum.ox.ac.uk/bacterialworld). The exhibition tells the hidden story of the smallest lifeforms and their influence on the past, present and future of our planet. As science lifts the lid on the secret lives of bacteria, we discover just how much our lives are inextricably linked with these crucial microorganisms. We really are living in a bacterial world.
