Using the G2 Firebox Stove as a smoker - for meat or cheese, smoked with apple wood chips.
With the G2 Firebox Stove - simply use the ash pan as a top on the stove. The smaller grill rack of the G2 becomes a base on top of your canister stove pot stand to support the G2 Firebox. Put wood chips of your choice in a DIY tray (like a metal jar lid) and slide it into the slot between the canister stove support and drop down base of the G2 stove.
Keep the burner flame very low and temperature below 175 F.
Our dry rub method to prepare the salmon used equal portions of curing salt and brown sugar, drizzled with maple syrup. Let the rub remain on the salmon overnight in the refrigerator. Wash, then dry the salmon completely.
We pitched the Polish Army Lavvu for our backyard shelter.
Thank you for watching, commenting, and likes to Cooper and me.
Stay healthy and happy.
