Preparation Before Transferring Photos
USB Compatibility: Ensure your USB drive supports FAT32 or exFAT for Android compatibility. Check your phone for OTG (On-The-Go) support if using a direct connection
Battery Level: Charge your phone to avoid interruptions during transfer
Storage Space: Confirm the USB drive has enough space for all photos
Photo Organization: Arrange photos in folders for easier selection and retrieval
Method 1: Using a PC (Drag & Drop)
Connect your Android phone to the computer via a USB cable and set the USB connection mode to File Transfer (MTP)
Open File Explorer on your PC and navigate to your phone’s DCIM or Photos folder
Connect your USB flash drive to the computer.
Select the photos or folders you want to back up, copy them, and paste them into the USB drive folder
Safely eject both the phone and USB drive when done to prevent data corruption
Method 2: Direct Transfer Using OTG Adapter
Connect your USB flash drive to your Android device via an OTG adapter
Swipe down to access the notification tray and select the USB drive option to open it.
