Same trail different view! After our trip deep into Desolation Canyon, we run into a gated trail that requires a permit for access via an unknown north entrance. With no other options, we backtrack and learn one of the most valuable lessons on the trail. Different day, direction, season, or time of year and a trail you just visited feels like a whole new world. All too often we get uber focused on exploring new places and sometimes the new place is somewhere you have already been just from a different perspective.
